Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685 000 deaths globally. As of the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 5 years, making it the world’s most prevalent cancer. Nevertheless, when found early, and if adequate diagnosis and treatment are available, there is a good chance that breast cancer can be cured. WHO promotes comprehensive breast cancer control programmes as part of international cancer control plans. Expanding cancer services requires countries to set priorities and invest wisely based on their specific epidemiological burden and health system resources.
Bridgewave for the past 2 years actively participate in October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and WHO resources to help increase support for the awareness, early detection, treatment, and palliative care of this disease.

It’s essential to look out for each other in and around our communities. This is how we protect and maintain good mental health for all.
If you do nothing else today, keep an eye out for an opportunity to help someone with a random act of kindness or hold onto that warm feeling when someone helps you.
Marine and coastal pollution is a big problem in Ghana. To address pollution already at the shore, large beach cleanups on turtle nesting beaches are held on a regular basis by various companies as part of their CSR or as main responsibility by some NGOs. We are currently strong advocates for such much needed interventions and soon will join the actual activities at various beaches
There's much we can do together. So, share with us some of the inspiring social interventions you are currently on, and how we can collaborate for a better future, and take a moment to drop us a line.
